On the corner of Oakdale Road and Woodville Road, our proposal gives a pair of old lock-up garages a new chapter, replacing them with a thoughtfully designed three-bedroom family home.
It is a small infill site, but one with the potential to complete the corner and create a family-size home that feels like it has always belonged there.
The house has been designed to sit comfortably alongside its neighbours, taking cues from the surrounding terrace through its bay windows, pitched roof, chimney and brickwork. At the same time, careful detailing, soft planting and a simple material palette give the home a calm, contemporary feel.
Inside, the layout is made for everyday family life, with generous living spaces, three bedrooms, a private garden and a first-floor balcony. The design makes the most of a compact urban site, creating a home that is practical, warm and connected to the street around it.
